Lee talks about Lord Arthur Saville
Brief clip courtesy of BBC Breakfast.

No idea if this will play outside of the UK, I'm afraid. You can never tell with embedded BBC content!

What Lee Did Next...
The scans are from a leaflet advertising upcoming theatrical productions in Gloucestershire, but it's a touring production, so will be going all over.

The pictures are rather large, so they're clickable thumbnails.

Maybe I'm going crazy
but I swear there was a video on youtube from the show where they did a sort of behind the scenes look at Lee.
It was like a semi-tour of his room in the Joseph house and there was some talk of onions and the other lads were kind of making fun of him...
I've looked flippin everywhere and I can't seem to find it!!

Hello all!
I am a newly made Lee fan ^_^
A friend of mine introduced him to me a little while ago, and I love love loved his voice
and rather recently I've rekindled my love for Joseph and was searching for my old Donny Osmond soundtrack (which I couldn't find ):< )
I then searched youtube for Joseph songs which lead me back to Lee Mead and I then became thoroughly obsessed.
I think I've irritated the crap out of my non-Lee-fan friends!

So, now my question is:
Will there be a DVD of his performance for all of us non-london fans who missed the show and really had no chance in hell of getting all the way out there to see it anyways?
If there has been any news on this or anyone knows where I can find anything to keep myself updated on the possibility, please let me know!
Thank you thank you!
Yay Lee!

Nothing Else Matters
New Lee mead album, due for release on March 5th. :)

Includes two songs co-written by Lee.

Got an e-mail from the Really Useful newsgroup thingy today about a new online store for Christmas. There's a lot of things to sulk over - still the Jason Donovan soundtrack, and the singing camel sings with Donny Osmond's voice. This amused me, though. I thought some of you might like a heads up, in case you're not subscribed to the newsletter. :)

Some of you have asked me if I could put up
a video of the moment the Freek heard he was Joseph.
I can not find it. Sorry.

I have two things: My most special moment is my icon
as posted here! (Orange = Freek and Purple is John he is
our "Tarzan".).

But I do have this: http://www.tvblik.nl/uitzending/uitzending-gemist-op-zoek-naar-joseph

Push : Bekijk de aflevering
And you can see the complete show.
I am so sorry as I really wanted to put that moment in my journal myself.
And I promised to show it here.

Question: If I go to Joseph in London - I understand there are
special rules on clothing? Or is someone at work just pulling my leg?
They say : You can not wear pants.
Sounds weird.

And guys - I received a new Joseph outlay - It is the dutch guy but feel
free to check and comment and to add me as a friend.
Current Mood: happyhappy
Current Music: Paint it black - Lee Mead. (seriously).
27 October 2008 @ 12:10 pm
Would Lee approve?
Ok, he said he liked all three Dutch man as they were different.
This is just the winner.
Does he remind you of Lee?

So I will stop now with the dutch guy.
:-) I promise.

Lee's twin brother.

He did it. Freek is Dutch Joseph.
And after working with Lee, what can go wrong.

(Two more weeks until I see Lee!).
26 October 2008 @ 09:37 pm
That was it?
I need to kick some dutch tv people's ass.
Lee was not in the Netherlands.
Freek, John and Roy (now out of the show in the first half) were
in London. (see ya next week Lee).

We did not get to see him perform.
And that is a big dis illusion.

However, it was nice that he is now introduced in Holland.
And he was really sweet. (can he be any different?).

John and Freek are left.
In an hour I know if Freek is the winner.
(and I will not see him again when I go Les Miserables for
the second time).

Dutch girl gone crazy
In the Netherlands they are now running for Joseph.
Lots of talk about Lee obviously.

I have my favorite, see my icon. His name is
Freek and he is amazing.

Anyway, I was praying on my knees for 3 things the
past week. Nr. 1 was a show like When Maria meets Joseph.
But for us it is When Evita meets Joseph.
We are getting that as a Christmas special.
For Freek to win - I know this on sunday.
(pray with me.)
AND for Lee to show up in the Netherlands and to
be in the final show.

And YES - keep an eye on YouTube monday - I just
read on Freek's blog and ....let me show you:

For search tips on monday: Use: OP ZOEK NAAR JOSEPH FINALE.
You will surely find Lee than.

(can we skip saturday please??)
Nervous nervous nervous.

I was at Monday's performance of Joseph, quite excited to finally see Mr. Mead in his role. Everything seemed to start off swimmingly, but halfway through 'Jacob & Sons' the curtain was dropped for about 20 minutes and they came back with the understudy! :(

The audience was fortunately very supportive of that poor guy, but we are of course wondering what happened to Lee. Anyone know? Hopefully it was just illness and not anything too serious.

A new obsession for me - some icons for everyone else!
Description: 20 icons of Lee Mead

Notes: Hello! I went to see Joseph & the Amazing Technicoloured Dreamcoat in the West End of London a couple of weeks ago and unsurprisingly (as it always happens when I see something live) I fell in love with the leading man!  I didn't watch the TV show and had barely known it existed so was just going for a nice night out at the theatre with my Mum on two tickets my brother gave us. I adore the theatre, enjoy musicals and have seen plenty but this man was brilliant and entirely stole the night for me (even ackowledging that I was in the 2nd row and good old Pharoah picked on me to sing to!)

He was charismatic, a huge presence on stage even when not in the limelight and his voice is just stunning. I've already bought tickets for two more nights (my credit card is taking the hit!)

Anyway, newbie fangirl rant over...I hope you enjoy a little offering of some icons...I am looking for more non-ADWD photoshoots/mag scans etc so if you know of any I would be grateful.

Please credit if you snag any, which you are welcome to and let me know what you think/if you take, I'm still new at this icon making malarkey!

Of Lee's Dutch TV performance...

He sang Close Every Door masterfully and then with the Dutch  narrator a part of Go Go Go Joseph

(oh and it wasn't 'live'... it was pre-recorded as Lee was needed at the Adelphi tonight!)

more hereCollapse )

Back on the stairs
Screencaps from Lee's appearance on the final of I'd Do Anything tonight are beneath the fake cut.

This way...

There's quite a lot, so it's not really very dial-up friendly.

Josh Groban
Not Lee-related, but so many of you seem to be fans. I saw this in the Sunday Telegraph earlier, and thought that some of you might like to read it.

Joseph Run Extended
The Official Joseph Website is reporting that Lee has extended his run as Joseph until January 10th, 2009!

Something For The Weekend
Apparently Lee was on this a couple of weeks ago. Drat! Some kind soul has uploaded it to YouTube, though, in two parts.

Part One is an interview. Sadly the usual presenter is away, and Richard Bacon is standing in for him. It's not too bad, though.

Part Two is mostly cooking Eccles Cakes. :)

More of Lee's bits
Cropped up in "I'd Do Anything" again tonight, this time clapping. And chatting, but I couldn't get a clear shot of that, probably due to the fact that it's blowing a force 200 super-hurricane at the moment*, and the aerial isn't happy. Anyway, the director appeared to have stuck the camera up Lee's nose, and fed him on peculiar mushrooms prior to interviewing him for two and a half seconds, so that's no great loss.

Here Lee claps, somewhat bashfully, as the Nancy girls finish their performance.

* This may be a slight exaggeration.

I'd Do Anything
Brief Lee Mead appearance on the show earlier this evening. He was there helping with one of the workshops for the little guys auditioning for Oliver.

Just a few shotsCollapse )

Lee singing "Paint It Black" on This Morning
Just found this on YouTube - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Fs0LkL1svuw. Nice performance. He comes in early at the beginning, which made me smile. Proves it's live, anyway! ;)

It's from a couple of weeks ago, I think. Interesting to hear of Joseph's fortieth anniversary.

What's On Stage Theatregoers' Choice Awards... vote for Lee!
Just a quick reminder that Lee is nominated for Best Actor in a Musical... the voting is very close between him and Michael Ball, so if any of you haven't voted for Lee and want to, please do!! Let's see if we can work our magic on this award like we did with ROTY ;-)

EDIT - Voting's open until 10th February. Multiple votes from the same computer will not be counted, so it's important that as many people vote from as many computers as possible!

You can also vote for other Joseph-related stuff in other categories:

Preeya Kalidas - Best Supporting Actress in a Musical
Dean Collinson - Best Supporting Actor in a Musical
Joseph - Best Musical Revival
Reality TV head-to-head between Any Dream Will Do & Grease Is the Word - Theatre Event of the Year

Interview on BBC entertainment
Just found this on the bbc news website - thought some people might like this - talking about fans, bit on the album and adventurous loincloths...

Hopefully that link should work - direct link to the video player but if not go here here and at the moment there's a link off here in 'video and audio news'

Squee from When Joseph Met Maria...!

Apologies that this is rather a belated squee, but I felt we ought to let you know that no fewer than six of your fellow Comm lovelees miraculously managed to get tickets to the recording of When Joseph Met Maria at the BBC a couple of Sundays ago. If you don't want to know details such as what songs were sung by whom (if indeed you haven't heard all about it from somewhere else already), please don't read what's behind the cut... there be spoilers! You have been warned.

Wallpaper in Honour of Lee's Album Debut ...
In honour of the release of Lee's first album, my first attempt at a wallpaper. It's based on those gorgeous pics of Lee linked to the interview that pepsi brought to our attention a few days ago. It's in two sizes -- large (1280x800) for the truly wide screen PC's and a mid size for those in between (1024x640). It can be resized quite easily. Now I need a Barrowman wallpaper. ::nods::
